I cannot express enough how beneficial to your health (as well as easy and inexpensive!) it is to drink room temperature lemon water each and every morning.
When I get up in the morning the first thing I do is get my pint glass out, slice a lemon in half, and squeeze the juice into a full glass of water (room temperature is best!). Consuming it immediately. It will take at least a week of doing this every morning before you start seeing the lemon water health benefits outlined below. I must mention that despite lemon water having some dental benefits it can hurt your tooth enamel. To prevent this I drink the lemon water with a straw and then brush my teeth afterwards.

Lemon water is one of the BEST ways to detox and cleanse your body due to effectiveness combined with low cost and ease of regular use. Lemon juice encourages the liver to excrete toxins and is best consumed first thing in the morning when your body is in its natural cleansing state.

I’m going to be blunt here….. Anyone use coffee in the morning to not only wake their body but wake their bowels?? I can tell you from first hand experience that lemon water first thing in the morning can make your mornings quite “regular.” 🙂 Lemon helps the intestines with the waste disposal process from the body and helps prevent constipation, diarrhea, bloating and more. Lemon juice works as a cleaning agent in the liver and helps produce the bile liquid needed for the digestion process.

As most people know, lemons can be damaging to your tooth enamel. To prevent this I use a straw to drink lemon water in the morning and do a quick brush on my teeth (not gums) afterwards. BUT…. Lemon water can possibly aid with tooth aches and help with bleeding gums. I suffer from bleeding gums on occasion which is why I try to only brush the lemon off my teeth and not my gums. There’s no way to guarantee I’m leaving any lemon on my gums but I want to make sure I protect my enamel!
