One of my favorite things to make for any party or gathering are slow cooker cocktail meatballs. Always a crowd pleaser. Everyone loves them and they are quickly gobbled up. This recipe is the go to recipe I remember eating as a kid. I have another “fancier” version that I will post later. Both are wonderful.
Note: These are obviously great as an appetizer but can also be combined with rice or another grain and a salad to make a full course meal.
Ingredients
- 3 lb Frozen Meatballs
- 12 oz Chili Sauce
- 1.5 cups Ketchup
- 1.5 cups Grape Jelly
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Tabasco (or any hot sauce) OPTIONAL
Recipe Directions

Add all ingredients (except meatballs) into slow cooker. Stir until well combined.
**Omit the hot sauce if you do not want them spicy. If you want to add even more kick there are some spicy versions of chili sauce out there. I don’t see it in every store I go to so you may have to search for it.

Add frozen meatballs to the slow cooker and toss to coat.

Cook on low for 8 hours (or high for 4 hours).
Yesterday was my husband’s birthday and I made this recipe as well as 24 Hawaiian Ham and Cheese Sliders. There were 8 adults and the sliders were GONE and we only had about 1/2 lb of the slow cooker cocktail meatballs leftover. That’s pretty good for 8 people. Or pretty scary. 🙂
By the way…… I found some other great slow cooker cocktail meatballs recipes on Pinterest. Check them out too!
